# 基督城发生里氏6级地震

根据新西兰地震网GeoNet报道，新西兰时间2016年2月14日下午1点13分43秒，新西兰南岛城市基督城发生里氏5.9级地震，震中位于基督城以东15公里，震源深度31公里，震感强烈，有不少建筑物发生了损坏；居民家中的物品跌落在地，超市里的商品一片狼藉。

在第一次震动发生4分钟后，在基督城东北方向10公里处又发生了里氏3.5级的余震，震源仅10公里深。

13.50更新：GeoNet将震级报告为里氏5.7级。
