# 新西兰小型车驾照是否区分自动挡和手动挡？

新西兰的小型汽车驾驶执照是绝大部分新西兰人持有的驾照，也就是 Class 1 简称 C1。在中国大陆考取小型汽车驾驶执照的朋友知道，十几年前开始，中国大陆小车驾照区分手动挡和自动挡，那么在新西兰，是否有这个区别呢？

简单的回答是，有，也没有。

为什么这么说呢？因为“有”是针对全驾照 Full Licence 而言的；“没有”则是针对限制性驾照 Restricted Licence 来说的。

换言之，如果你持有的是新西兰的限制性驾照，并且你的限制性驾照路考使用的是自动挡汽车，那么你不可以在没有能指导你的老司机（supervisor）的情况下驾驶手动挡汽车；但如果你的限制性驾照路考使用的是手动挡汽车，并且通过了路考，则你在持有 R 驾照的情况下，也可以自行驾驶自动挡、或手动挡的汽车。如你是全驾照，则新西兰不区分手动挡自动挡。

- R 驾照，路考使用的是自动挡汽车，无 Supervisor，仅可以驾驶自动挡
- R 驾照，路考使用的是自动挡汽车，有 Supervisor 坐在车内，可以驾驶自动挡或手动挡
- R 驾照，路考使用的是手动挡汽车，可以驾驶自动挡或手动挡
- F 驾照，无限制
