# 新西兰英文合同中经常出现的一些生僻词

新西兰是一个“重合同，守信用”的国家，当然了，合同这种东西也是由法律所保障的。无论是去企业求职拿到的雇佣合同，亦或是两个公司之间购买商品或是服务的合同，再或者合伙人之间共同创业的合同，无一例外全是英文。生活在新西兰一些年头的朋友，生活英语是可以应付的，但是拿起正规的合同一看依然是顿时一头雾水。这里一个herein，那里一个whereof，后面又来一个hereby，这些平时很少用到的词全集中在这一份合同里了。读完本文了解一下在英文合同里出现频率极高的“生僻古体字”，希望能够让大家在今后看英文合同的时候不至于两眼一抹黑。

**hereafter 此后，以下**

例句：Both parties must agree to the terms hereafter.  
双方均须同意以下条款。

**hereby 以此方式，以此，特此**

例句：I hereby acknowledge receipt of your letter of 23 Apr.  
特此告知，4月23日的来函已收到。

**herefrom 由此，从此**

例句：The organization, ABC company will be liable for any economic and legal liability incurred herefrom.  
ABC将承担由此产生的一切经济和法律责任。

**herein 其中，于此，在此文件中**
