# 西海岸大型驳船搁浅，市民纷纷打卡

西海岸大型驳船搁浅南岛西海岸Westport海滩一艘大型驳船在沙滩上搁浅，引得附近民众纷纷前来打卡。

这艘驳船隶属于Westland Mineral Sands（WMS）公司，长约100米，是一艘运沙船，搁浅位置在Westport附近的一个海滩上。

WMS集团确认，船上11名船员全部安全，没有出现环境问题。

“本公司正在与相关的海事和海岸警卫当局密切合作，以了解这起事故的发生原因。”

许多人聚集在Carters Beach观看搁浅的驳船。当地市长表示，这艘驳船搁浅前已经在近海停泊了几天。

这艘驳船没有新西兰船员，悬挂的旗帜是纽埃国旗。

新西兰海员工会对此提出了担忧。海员工会认为在新西兰这种很有挑战性的海洋环境中运营的船只，应该由经验丰富的新西兰海员来操控。

该船从8月份刚刚开始投入使用，负责将矿砂从Westport的浅水港口运到Nelson。
