说到 Dole 这个英文单词，你能想起来什么？是超市中卖的挺便宜的进口廉价果汁“多乐”吗？其实在新西兰有很大的一群人，他们的生活 On the dole ，这是什么意思，难道是素食者，生活中的饮食完全靠着喝果汁？

肯定的不是的啦，on the dole 实际上是个俚语，虽然不是新西兰人发明的，但是新西兰人用的很多，它的意思指的是，领福利、靠福利生活。

On the dole，也写作 the dole 源自于英国，指的是领取 Unemployment Benefit 失业救济，或者从社会性的福利机构领取食物和金钱。不过目前在新西兰，领取福利都可以叫做 dole ，不一定非要指失业救济。
