# 新西兰英语中Pasifika指的是什么？

新西兰有一个专用于形容人种的名词Pasifika，这个词虽然看起来是英语但是在其它英语国家用的并不多。Pasifika一看就是一个“英文谐音字”，它指的是岛民（太平洋岛民），包括波利尼西亚人(Polynesia)、密克罗尼西亚人(Micronesia)、美拉尼西亚人(Melanesia)，泛指来自于萨摩亚、斐济、库克群岛、法属玻里尼西亚、汤加、纽埃等国家和地区的居民。

另外，Pasifika也可以指的是这些岛国国家本身，不过目前新西兰人更习惯于用Pacific Islands来形容太平洋上如同珍珠一样散落着的岛国。
