# 英文中 Staff 和 Staffer 的区别

Staff 在英文中指的是“职员”或者“员工”的意思，它是一个名词，但有的时候你会在英文新闻中看到 Staffer 的字样，这同样指的是员工，也同样是一个名词，那么，这两个词之间的区别是什么？

Staff 指的是“所有的雇员”，也就是一个公司所有的雇员，就是 staff；而 staffer 指的就是“一个雇员”，并且，staffer 通常用于特定“行业”内的职员：

- 政府机构或政府组织
- 新闻公司或媒体公司

比如说，在以下机构中的某个雇员，就是：

- Immigration NZ staffer （移民局员工）
- Parliament staffer （国会员工）
- NZHerald staffer （新西兰先驱报员工）
- TVNZ staffer （新西兰国家电视台员工）
- Auckland City Council staffer （奥克兰市议会员工）

而如果说的是 TVNZ staff 那指的就是新西兰国家电视台的所有员工了。

如果你要说你所在公司的员工呢？那就是 company staff。因为一般的公司，不是政府机构也不是媒体，提及员工就是 staff 而不是 staffer，不要用错哦。
