# Bluff除了可以吃生蚝，还可以代表什么？

每年的四月份到七月份都是新西兰南岛最南端的小镇Bluff最繁忙的时节，因为这里盛产着一种举世闻名的美味，生蚝。[如果您想了解Bluff Oyster的知识，请点击这篇文章。](https://www.kannz.com/bluff-oyster/)其实不少华人朋友都觉得Bluff只是个地名而已，但实际上只有大写的时候才代表南岛的布拉夫小镇，而小写的bluff这个词在英文中还挺常见的，您知道它是什么意思吗？

bluff作为动词使用的时候，表示的是吓唬、愚弄、虚张声势、用假象欺骗他人，作为名词的时候，是“虚张声势的人”的意思。
