# 什么是 Mondayisation ？

曾几何时，新西兰的公众假期如果恰巧日期在周末，是不会“补假”的。不过现代社会中工作人群越来越懒，对于休息时间的要求越来越多，所以前几年新西兰改成了，如果假期正巧在周末，那么周末后的周一会继续放假，多休息一天；这样就把这个周末变成了“长周末”，如此一来有利于工作人群更好的休息，也能够拉动一定的旅游和消费经济。

补休周一，用英文来讲是什么呢？就是本文的标题， **Mondayisation**。

在新西兰的政府网站中，使用了这段文字来说明什么是 Mondayisation：When a public holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, an employee’s public holiday might be moved to the following Monday (or in some cases Tuesday)。

在新西兰的公众假期中，可能产生与周末重叠的假日有：

- 元旦，1月1日
- 新年第二天，1月2日
- 怀唐依日（新西兰国庆节），2月6日
- 澳新军团日 ANZAC Day，4月25日
- 圣诞节，12月25日
- 节礼日，Boxing Day，12月26日

以上的节日全部都是“固定日期”的节日，不可调换，所以遇到这样的日子“坐落”在休息日的话，那么就会顺延到下一个周一，像是连续两天公众假期正好是周六周日的情况（圣诞节+节礼日，元旦+新年第二天），那么将要顺延到周一和周二。如果员工需要在顺延过去的周一或者周二上班，那么这一天虽然不是公众假期的“正日子”，但是雇主依然需要以公众假期上班计算工资的方法为员工支付工资。
