# 新西兰北岛小镇外商要投资10亿

加拿大上市公司OceanaGold计划在新西兰北岛Waihī金矿项目投资10亿，受到当地一些民众抵制。

OceanaGold首席执行官Gerard Bond表示，尽管新西兰监管成本高昂，且涉及采矿权和保留土地争议，公司仍准备投资10亿扩展新西兰Waihī金银矿的采矿寿命。

近期金价创下每盎司3000美元的历史新高，超出OceanaGold对该矿扩展项目的最乐观收益预测。

Bond表示：“对黄金开采公司和投资者来说，**这是一个绝佳时期**，因为金价高企。”

OceanaGold已**通过快速审批法申请采矿许可**，并在该地点投入约1.74亿纽币，包括勘探钻探以评估地下黄金储量。

初步可行性研究显示，矿体可能还含有**121万盎司**黄金。

“这是一个非常有吸引力的矿体，但**采矿过程越拖越不利**。”

该计划遭到环保组织如Coromandel Watchdog的反对，他们今年1月在Waihī抗议，认为不应开采。该土地由Department of Conservation管理。

尽管如此，Bond称公司在Waihī获得“巨大支持”，并认为新西兰政府对资源开发的态度已转变。

OceanaGold计划10亿纽币投资将分六年实施。

Bond透露，公司目前手头有约4亿纽币现金，今年将支出7000万纽币。
